On Tuesday April 26th 2005 I was sitting in my office working. One of the guys next door runs in and says "Y'all have to come look at this outside." We had no idea what to expect, but figured it was one of the employees doing something stupid. We were ill prepared to see the massive sand storm that was headed our way. Of course I did the only logical thing to do when faced with a giant wall of sand and dust, I pulled out my digital camera and started snapping pictures. It looked pretty far off at first, but rolled in rather quickly. I decided this would be a once in a lifetime video to shoot, so I stood there with my digital camera and started filming. It swept over us quickly and turned day into night in a matter of seconds. Yes I was spitting up sand and cleaning it from my ears for quite some time afterward, but it was well worth it. This is the video that I shot "Sand Storm From Hell". I sent it to around 5 people and by the next day I had people from Baghdad to Houston emailing me telling me they saw my video. A few days later a half dozen or so people came into my office to tell me to check out MSN.com My video had made it to iFilm.com and that site feeds the videos on MSN.com. Whom ever that sent it in chopped off my copyright info, so I emailed iFilm and told them about it and they agreed to let me resubmit it. So yea, I'm an international "video" star now.
