Dubai March 2005
Right before I left for R&R I was asked if I would be able to fill in at the Dubai office for someone who was going on R&R. Being a team player and wanting to see how the softies live of course I said yes. Yes they are softies, but most won't admit it. No only do they live in nice apartments, but there is a grocery store right next door to the office and at least 3 dozen places to eat within walking distance to the office. That's not to mention the sandwich guy that walks around the building and the dozen or so places that offer free delivery. Of course talking to them they had it really bad. I think it should be a requirement for all of them to work in Iraq for at least 4 months before getting the privilege to work in Dubai. A few of them were cool, but the cool ones will agree that the rest were miserable people. I did enjoy my stay there, right up until I was asked to leave for doing my job. That'll be in a Cade Chronicle when I get around to it.

A picture of the terminal for all you haters that don't believe I was actually there.

Sammy and Mary-Grace hookin' 'em.

Yes they wore those shirts just for me since they know I went to A&M.

Funny story. I only had two clean shirts left: this one and my "Do I look like a f*@!ing people person?" shirt. Glad I chose this one because I met the second highest guy over the entire project that day. Go me.

I'm not sure where Pocaris hale from, but I don't think I'd enjoy drinking their sweat.

"...with a composition very similar to human body fluid..." Well that confirms it, it's made from sweaty men.
